Suncoast Arts Fest Announces its Eleventh Year and Issues a Call for Fine Artists and Craftsmen

The Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc. will present its eleventh annual Suncoast Arts Fest (SAF) on January 16-17, 2016 at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, FL. New and returning artists and craftsmen are encouraged to visit as soon as possible to apply for this successful art event.

For the past eleven years, SAF has brought together quality artists and true art lovers who are motivated to buy. The two-day festival takes place in the heart of the Tampa Bay during Florida’s peak tourist season and attracts an average of 100,000 visitors each year. In addition to its featured artists and craftsmen, the festival offers a full line-up of live entertainment, professional chalk art and a kids’ art garden.

There are only 120 artist spaces available, so early registration is encouraged and entries through Zapplication are mandatory this year.  Awards for this juried art show will grow to a total of $13,300 in 2016. To maintain the artistic integrity of the show, all entries must be original works, executed by the applying artist, created by hand and not mass produced. Medium categories include, but are not limited to: Ceramics/Clay, Digital, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Graphics, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting – oil, Painting – acrylic, Painting – watercolor, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Wood.

The deadline to apply is November 1, 2015. Click here for full guidelines and a description of fees.

All proceeds from the Suncoast Arts Fest benefit “Arts for Education,” a grant fund created by the festival’s parent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc.. This mini-grant program provides project support to supplement arts education funding in public, private and charter schools in Pasco County. In 2015, $10,000 in mini-grants was awarded, bringing the grand total distributed to $85,000 since the nonprofit’s inception.

The Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc. is the festival’s producing organization with the Pasco County Tourist Development Council as a major sponsor of this event. Additional sponsors include the Tampa Tribune, The Shops at Wiregrass, Jenniferlee Events and WGHR Hits 106. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. To learn more, visit

Very cool! I supply items such as glass etching cream and stencils to crafters and wanted to see if you would test some of my products for free in exchange for feedback. Would you be interested? Please let me know via email if possible. Shipping of the supplies will be free as well. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks Eric
