Critically acclaimed songwriter Julie Black captivates audiences with a soulful sound that is genuine and emotionally uninhibited. Her sultry, powerful voice weaves potent tales within sumptuous melodies & rhythms and brings together elements of blues, jazz, soul & rock. Based in Florida, Julie Black’s roots extend into Illinois & California. Committed to originality and the artistic process; Julie Black explores many creative possibilities. In addition to performing with her own band, she writes & co-writes songs for/with other performers ( including celebrated vocalist & recording artist Shaun Murphy and Finnish Blues/Rock band The Ärräpää Orchestra), is part of a free-form music looping duo, and is a visual artist as well (sculpture, painting & mixed – media). Black has just released her third album with BOJA Records, entitled Follow the Muse.
Dave began playing guitar at age nine, listening to Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. After studying music composition in college, he was inspired by ambient music pioneers such asRobert Fripp and Brian Eno, and thus began exploring looping, guitar synthesis and effects. He was featured in the July 2008 and August 2006 edition of Guitar Player magazine and received a grant from the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts for his unique 50 CD set, Collectives. He has also been awarded first prize in the Seymour Duncan Gear Experts Video Contest. Besides performing and recording, Dave maintains a roster of guitar students. He chaired the Cultural Affairs Advisory Committee in New Port Richey in 2005-2006. and still has time to plan and promote cultural events in West Pasco.
As a music producer and recording professional, Bob Langford owns and independent record label and resides in New Port Richey. As President of the West Pasco Historical Society and a member of 2014’s Pasco Arts Council, he is passionate about art and community. Bob has produced music for Julie Black and Deep Purple, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Joe South. He has also worked in New Port Richey’s government, as the Deputy Mayor and a City Council member. His leadership, experience, and creativity provide a lot when planning and executing entertainment at the Suncoast Arts Fest.
